Please be advised that as a practice we have a policy in place regarding the prescribing of Norethisterone for delaying periods which is supported by local medicines management formularies. Norethisterone can be prescribed for management of dysmenorrhoea and menorrhagia but postponement of period for going on holiday is not a medical condition and will therefore not be prescribed for this reason. Norethisterone can be purchased readily from community pharmacies should you wish to delay your period.
