As a result of ongoing cost reductions and a reduction in staff capacity, Medicine Order Line are implementing business continuity measures from Thursday 1st October 2026.
From this date the telephone service will be available from 8:00am – 2:00pm (currently 8:00am – 3:00pm).
Please note that all other prescription ordering channels remain unaffected.
Due to the reduction in staffing capacity, alongside increased demand on the run up to Christmas, they are encouraging patients, where possible, to use digital ordering methods, including:

The MOL Online Form – www.derbyshiremol.nhs.uk
Online systems via GP Practice, including AccuRx (if available)
This will help them to manage demand effectively and ensure that the MOL remains accessible on a need’s basis.
