Opening Times

Newhall Surgery is open from 08:00 to 18:30 Monday to Friday. (Telephone lines are operational 08:00 – 18:00)

All calls may be recorded for training and monitoring purposes. Please note if you are calling for a non-urgent appointment, please call after 10:00 on any weekday.  If you are calling for results please call back after 13:00 on any weekday.

For anyone who needs clinical advice or support after 18:00 please contact 111 or DHU who operates an out of hours service when your Doctors surgery is closed.

Our local out of hours provider (DHU) are located at Swadlincote Health Centre, Civic Way, Swadlincote, DE11 0AE.

Appointment System and Bank Holiday Demand.
The day before a Bank Holiday and the day immediately after a Bank Holiday, we may have to manage our appointments differently. This is to allow us to manage the demand for appointments which tends to increase over this period. Our team will let you know when you call what the process is.

GP on the day appointments available Monday to Friday and are released at 08:00am.

In addition to the above there are a limited amount of evening and weekend appointments available at Swadlincote Health Centre. Please ask one of the team for further information.

These are for advanced Pre-booked appointments only.  Patients who arrive at  the surgery or the Health Centre during extra opening times without an appointment expecting to be seen will be directed to the Out of Hours Service.
